CES 2010: Nokia kondigt OVI Maps Racing aan.

Op de CES in Las Vegas heeft Nokia Ovi Maps Racing aangekondigd.  Wat gebeurt er al je Ovi maps combineert met Ovi games? Racing in je eigen achtertuin!De GPS in je toestel wordt gebruikt om je locatie te bepalen (of gebuik Ovi maps om een locatie te selecteren) vervolgens kun je een circuit maken op de Ovi Map die vervolgens om getoverd wordt in jou persoonlijk racing circuit. Dan kan de pret beginnen: start your engines!  Het racen zelf is een top-down view, dus geen back-car view zoals we gewend zijn in de meeste racing games (o.a Need for Speed). Je kunt het vergelijken met Micro Machines. Nokia kondigde al eerder location-based gaming aan, het is goed om te zien dat ze nu een uitgewerkt concept hebben dat overigens ontzettend cool uitziet. Behalve dat je je GPS kunt gebruiken om je locatie te bepalen kun je ook gewoon een locatie handmatig selecteren. Je kunt dus werkelijk overal racen.

Ik ben benieuwd wanneer de eerste toestellen met Ovi Maps racing op markt gaan komen.

   Zal wel alleen voor Nokia uitkomen, ik weet niet of ik mijn Iphone hiervoor ga opgeven. Het ziet er wel mooi uit vraag me af of het niet langzaam gaat als GPS de aan moet staan.
