Doodle Jump & Flight Control komen naar mobiel
Doodle Jump en Flight Control domineren al lange tijd de toplijsten van de iphone app store. De twee grote iphone stars komen nu dus ook naar mobiel. RealNetworks zal de uitgever gaan worden voor Doodle Jump en Namco de uitgever van Flight Control. Flight Control is een verslavende puzzel game; in Flight Control heb jij de baan als luchtverkeersleider en dien je vliegtuigen te slepen naar landingsbanen. Flight Control bevat 4 vliegvelden en 10 verschillende soorten toestellen. Het is absoluut een goed signaal dat zulke top games hun weg zijn aan het vinden naar andere mobiele telefoons hieruit kunnen we opmaken dat java nog niet dood is. Scott Rubin van Namco zei het volgende: “ Collaborating with Firemint to provide casual game lovers with a mobile version of the top selling brand is a proud moment,” says Scott Rubin, vice president of sales and marketing at Namco”. Buiten Java zal Flight Control ook beschikbaar komen voor Windows Mobile en Android.
Tijdens het Mobile World Congress heeft RealNetworks bekend gemaakt om de andere populaire iphone game Doodle Jump naar mobiel te brengen. Doodle Jump is ontwikkeld door Lime Sky en zal voor mobiel worden uitgegeven door RealNetworks. Doodle Jump is uitermate simpel maar verslavend. Je dient je Doodle (een klein groen wezentje) via platformen naar boven te laten springen. Met als doel om zo hoog mogelijk te komen. De verslaving van Doodle Jump zit hem deels in het feit dat je je score kunt delen tevens via Facebook of Twitter. Of het delen van scores ook in de versie komt voor de andere mobiele platformen is nog niet duidelijk. De motion controls die bij de iphone worden gebruikt zullen wellicht voor het java platform worden vervangen door keypad besturing. We kunnen Doodle Jump al in Maart verwachten.
